The partnership will also give a way for a New Campus in Victoria, which will further drive International Education, inviting students from India to take advantage of the new courses that aim at increasing the employability. The new courses will significantly expand the job-oriented skill sets that will ultimately benefit all students, passing out of the Campus.

Minister for Small Business, Innovation and Trade Philip Dalidakis officially opened ATMC’s new city campus, which will help deliver new USC courses and accommodate international students from different countries, vying for higher education.

Speaking about the partnership, the minister opines, “Congratulations to the Australian Technical and Management College, and its partner USC, for their vision to boosting Vitoria’s leading number of tech graduates and growing our world-class international education sector.”

International education has been Victoria’s largest service export for more than ten years, generating $5.6 billion and supporting over 30,000 jobs across Melbourne and regional Victoria in 2014-15. The partnership is expected to further boost the scenario with more student intakes from India and other countries.

Victoria accounts for more than 30 per cent of Australia’s total international student enrolments and 33 per cent of higher education enrolments. Last year, 175,000 international students studied in Victoria, making the state a true international education destination.

The Minister for Training and Skills, Steve Herbert was also upbeat about the new partnership and stated, “International education is our largest service export and a significant driver of jobs, which is why the Labor Government is working hard to build the sector further – boosting tourism and economic growth across the state.”

The recent Victorian Budget 2016/17 provided almost $32 million over four years to drive continued growth in the international education sector and to help implement Victoria’s International Education Strategy, ensuring the sector continues to deliver world-class education, attract investment and drive economic growth. Victoria aims at creating a positive and safe educational environment for students coming from different countries around the world.
