Woodbury, NY, 2017-Jul-14 — /EPR Network/ — When alight.com was started in 1999, our goal was to become the leading specialty retailer for women and teens.  We quickly achieved our goal and alight.com was recognized as one of the early leaders in the apparel ecommerce world.  We continue to offer our customers an outstanding collection of unique fashion and exciting styling.  Our goal is to remain a leader in the world of curvy fashion and continue to innovate for decades to come.

Our website alight.com is becoming CurvyHQ.com.  We have observed a change for the past several years.  Women worldwide are embracing the term curvy to describe their bodies.  Women don’t see the size listing for clothing as accurately defining their body type.  For 18 years, alight.com has been a headquarters for a vast selection of clothing.  We will continue to be the headquarters for curvy clothing under our new name CurvyHQ.

A poll on Today.com in 2015 asked  Do you think the word ‘curve’ should replace ‘plus-size’?   An overwhelming 82% of people responding  and voted a resounding Yes!
