Immigration to Canada – Minimum CRS Lowered In Latest Express Entry Draw

HYDERABAD, India, 2019-Jul-13 — /EPR Network/ — The immigration authority in Canada, IRCC, has held the latest Express Entry draw, yesterday, 12th June, in which it has issued ITA’s to more than 3300 aspirants who had applied for obtaining permanent residence in Canada through the Express Entry Program

Immigration to Canada – Cut Off Score Lowered By 5 Points

Yesterday’s draw, saw the cut-off minimum comprehensive ranking score to qualify, lowered by 5 points, bringing it to 465, as opposed to the minimum CRS score for the immediately preceding draw, which saw a cut off score of 470 points.

The Express Entry system was launched by the federal government of Canada, to manage the pool of aspiring new immigrants who qualify to enter Canada under the Federal Skilled Trades Class, Federal Skilled Worker Class, and Canadian Experience Class, which constitute the three primary economic-based immigration programs in Canada

Candidates who are eligible for either one or all of the programs are ranked based on a comprehensive score that is calculated based on their education, experience and personal profile, which evaluates their ability to contribute effectively to the Canadian economy and assimilate successfully into the Canadian society.

The candidates with the highest ranks, or in other words, candidates who obtain score above the arbitrary minimum CRS are issued an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in periodically conducted draws by the Canadian government. The candidates who thus receive an ITA, can apply for further processing and obtain their Canada PR. The Canadian government has announced its intention to ramp up efforts to reduce the processing time for candidates who have obtained their ITA to six months or less.  The IRCC has issued a total of 38,450 ITAs to candidates applying for Canada PR under the Express Entry stream to date in the current year, which is an increase of more than 6000 ITA’s over the previous year, which in itself held the record at 89,800
