Canada Immigration – Quebec Province Starts Program to Integrate Newcomers

HYDERABAD, India, 2019-Aug-29 — /EPR Network/ — The province of Quebec, has introduced a brand new program for personalized integration for the benefit of new immigrants

People, who are on their way to immigrate to the province of Quebec, can get access to more support from the government even before they arrive in the province.

Canada Immigration – New Program for Quebec New Comers

According to the new integration service provided by the government of the province, prospective immigrants would be assigned with a personal immigration assistant officer who would help them to follow up on their case via a step-by-step process.

Details about the personalized support program were announced by the Minister of Immigration, Simon Jolin-Barrette on the 8th of August

The new support program, which forms a part of the provincial government’s immigration law reforms that were passed through legislation in June, has been designed to effectively utilize the best tools that would help new immigrants to integrate smoothly and successfully into Quebec society

Foreign nationals In order to immigrate to Quebec as permanent residents will need to get a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ) which is issued by the Ministry of Immigration, Diversity and Inclusion (MIDI). The province of Quebec has its own criteria to select immigrants that it allows into the province. After receiving a CSQ, the applicant can apply for becoming a permanent resident

As soon as an applicant receives his CSQ, he can get   access to immigration resources including and a personal immigration officer. He will also be provided with information on the various regions of Quebec, where he can settle and career opportunities in the province based on his qualifications. The applicant can also take a course in French online

Those who have successfully been selected will be greeted at the airport upon arrival into the province. They will be invited to meet a designated integration assistance officer who will help them to create an individualized action plan.

The four steps for integration are

  1. Arrival
  2. Francization
  3. Integration into the job market
  4. Community integration

There is also an optional course for new immigrants who wish to learn about the sociocultural scene and job prospects in Quebec. In order to encourage immigrants to participate, the province is offering an incentive of 185 CAD.
