Sales for Bio-X Soar as the Safe, Multifunctional, Water-Based Solution Provides Total Disinfecting and Protection

Singapore, 2020-Apr-17 — /EPR Network/ — Bio-X, currently listed as a pesticide in NTUC Fairprice, Selffix, on Lazada and Qoo10, has registered a multi-fold increase in sales as regular users rediscover its superior all-natural formulation and disinfecting properties in the light of the COVID-19 situation.

 

Its unique formulation, invented by the Japanese firm Okada Ecotech, has been used extensively in animal hygiene management, agriculture, commercial sanitation and public health management (human-safe mosquito fogging), under the industrial-grade brand, BIOVECTROL. It is also currently the only accepted pesticide that is certified animal-safe; and used in the Singapore Turf Club in the stables of its million-dollar racehorses.

 

The formula’s pesticide active ingredient, Etofenprox, is certified non-poisonous by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USPEA) with a very low toxicity level[1], and is 14 times safer than table salt.

In addition to Etofenprox, Bio-X solution consists of many plant extracts making the concoction effective against germs and bacteria (such as Salmonella, E. coli,  Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae), viruses (such as Classical swine fever (CSF), Aujeszky’s disease, Bronchitis, and Newcastle disease (NDV)), pests and insects (including Root-knot nematode, ova and larvae, fungi, contact and systemic diseases). Due to its organic, bio-friendly nature, it is a non-irritant, which increases animal and crop health and yield when applied on premise.

 

Following are some of the popular Bio-X products available on the market:

• Bio-X 3-in-1 Aerosol (300 and 600 ml) acts as an insecticide, deodorant and disinfectant. It is a general purpose aerosol to eliminate insects, germs, bacteria and bad odours, and easily covers larger areas.
• Bio-X 3-in-1 VOC-Free Organic Lavender Aerosol (300ml) uses R134a refrigerant gas instead of LPG. R134a is a non-Volatile Organic Compound gas (more environmentally friendly) and it is inert (does not burn or combust). The solution includes additional organic lavender plant extract, making it a luxury premium product.
• Bio-X 3-in-1 Hand Spray (300 ml) does not contain propellants that are used in aerosol sprays, making it perfect for direct spraying on hard and soft surfaces such as sofa, curtain, bed, cupboard, etc. The hand spray provides 170% more liquid content than the aerosol cans.

 

All Bio-X products leave a long-lasting residue that continues to provide continual protection after application.  It is water-based, bio- and photo-degradable, non-staining and certified by the Singapore Environment Council to be environmentally-friendly.  It is also a “Green” product under the Green Label Singapore Scheme.

• Industrial-grade Solution (200ml), which requires dilution with water before use. The formula and packaging makes it affordable for customers.
• Ready-to-use Aerosol (300ml), which uses R134a refrigerant gas that does not burn or combust.
