Asked to describe the context of “Sacrifice,” Josh One writes, “To kickstart a new album and revamp my [Boomnote] label. I wanted to make a big song that has my good friend and frequent collaborator Demetrius tell a real story that is uplifting to anyone going for their dreams. I’ve known Aloe for 20+ years and he wrote a hook to tie it all in, and he just made it all come together.”
