Consolidated Chassis Management’s Michael Wilson and Michael Mitchell Honored with Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s 2024 Pros to Know Award

Both Recognized for Lifetime Achievement in Supply Chain

Rockaway, NJ, 2024-Mar-29 — /EPR Network/ — Consolidated Chassis Management (CCM), the leading cooperative chassis pool manager in the United States, is pleased to announce that its CEO Mike Wilson and its SVP, Corporate Operations Strategy, Michael Mitchell have been named recipients of Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s 2024 Pros to Know Award.

Both Mr. Wilson and Mr. Mitchell are being lauded as supply chain thought leaders whose exemplary accomplishments serve as a roadmap for others. As industry veterans, both award recipients have spent their careers advancing and innovating the supply chain, most recently in their current roles with CCM, where they are guiding the evolution of the company.

In addition to serving as CEO of CCM, Mike Wilson is the CEO of Consolidated Intermodal Technologies (CIT), and is a results-oriented executive with proven collaboration and team building skills. He is accomplished in ocean transportation, intermodalism, equipment and asset management, import and export, freight forwarding, and business process development. As seasoned veteran with a distinguished 40-year career in international shipping, Mr. Wilson was Senior Vice President of Hamburg Süd North America, Inc. immediately prior to joining CCM, and has held management positions at United States Lines, Crowley Maritime, United Arab Shipping and Atlantic Container Line.

Mr. Wilson is a past Board Member and past Chairman of the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) as well as Chairman of OCEMA’s CCM enterprise. In addition, Mr. Wilson is a past Board Member of the Shipping Association of New York, has been an active member on the NY/NJ Council on Port Performance and has served on the FMC’s Supply Chain Innovation Team.

Mr. Wilson said that both he and Mr. Mitchell are humbled for being recognized for their leadership roles in the industry. “Our vision is to develop and deploy tools for intermodal supply chain professionals looking to improve upon efficiency and effectiveness of their operations.”

As CCM’s first employee, Michael Mitchell has worked for the company for 18 years, starting in 2006 as Director, Business Development before becoming Vice President, Human Resources and Administration in 2011. He was appointed to his current position in 2023.

After serving in the U.S. Army, Mr. Mitchell began his career in the supply chain as a manager with Matson Navigation Company, Inc. and later joined Sea-Land Service Inc. as Manager, North American Chassis. Mr. Mitchell then took on the role of Sr. Manager, Fleet Administration for CSX Lines, LLC, before moving to CSX Corporation as Director, Equipment Claims Administration. He also worked as a consultant, career coach and recruiter.

Marina Mayer, editor-in-chief of Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive, congratulated Mr. Wilson and Mr. Mitchell for their selection for winners of the prestigious award. “Many of today’s supply chain pros are more than just leaders within their space; they’re innovators, decision makers, pioneers of change and growth,” she said. “They’ve spent the last year (and more) creating safer, more efficient supply chains.
