UNITE Fort Lauderdale Calls For Formal Censure of Fort Lauderdale Mayor Naugle

Our public officials must address the damage that he has already done, and continues to do to the whole of our communities. In addition to the economic impact that his comments have already had on Greater Fort Lauderdale, his rhetoric has created divisions and fears that did not previously exist. Mayor Naugle has a history of making disparaging comments about other communities in our city. His recent comments clearly show him to be an irresponsible public official. UNITE Fort Lauderdale calls upon the other four members of the City Commission to formally censure the Mayor and make clear that the City of Fort Lauderdale rejects Mayor Naugle's divisive tactics and rhetoric. UNITE Fort Lauderdale is dedicated to making our city and county a welcoming, inclusive, successful, and caring community for people from all walks of life.
