Hamtramck Idea Men, George McVey and Michael Marcus,
have sent their first comic book, PULP DREAMS #1,
to press, scheduled to be released locally and on the Internet before
the end of October. As a special promotion, the two have launched
a “Pre-Order Special” on their website
at http://www.idea-men.us/pdspecial.html
with an offer of signed and numbered editions to the first hundred
pre-orders.
Chief
Administrative Officer Michael Marcus has been collecting
comments through the website. “People seem to enjoy the
retro feel of the story,” he says, “they compare
it favorably to Flash Gordon and 2000AD. I personally think of it
as good old-fashioned sword-and-blasters adventure from the Golden
Age of Sci-Fi.”
