Warner
Leisure Hotels, the award-winning hotel group renowned for its
short break leisure holidays, has been nominated in four separate
categories in the prestigious British Travel Awards 2009/2010,
including Best Leisure Hotel Chain and Best UK/Domestic Tour Operator.
These
nominations recognise the wide range of choices provided by the
group's six historic hotels, three character hotels and four coastal
resorts exclusively for adults across all of its activities, from
rooms and dining to leisure activities, which are combined with
affordable luxury and a friendly, informal and sociable atmosphere.
Warner's
Experiences also get a special mention this year, with a nomination
in the Best Special Interest/Adventure Tour Operator category.
Experiences are additional activities which can be added to a
stay for a small supplement. Currently the group has over 600
on offer, ranging from traditional hot air balloon trips, numerous
dance breaks, antiques with Eric Knowles and painting to the quirkier
Psychic School With the Psychic Sisters, Walking With Llamas and
beekeeping for beginners.
The
fourth nomination is particularly special for Warner Leisure Hotels,
with Thoresby Hall
Hotel and Spa, one of its flagship hotels, being singled out
in the category for Best UK Boutique (or individual) Hotel. This
magnificent mansion overlooks a stunning Capability Brown view
with fabulous gardens of over 40 acres, a state of the art spa
and three restaurants which offer a wide range of cuisine from
cosmopolitan and Italian, to fine dining. With leisure facilities
comprising a fitness centre and indoor pool and live entertainment
every night, guests rarely want to venture outside of the hotel
and gardens.
