Hong Kong, May 22, 2015 -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- SGS India’s Dinesh Sivabalan has been awarded ‘Best Performer 2014 in South Asia’ by its client, Decathlon, for meeting the overall quality of service criteria and for his online testing initiative.
Best Performer Award is Mark of Distinction
Ganesh Balaji, PL Tech of Decathlon India, part of the French sporting goods chain with stores located throughout the world, presented the award to Dinesh Sivabalan in a ceremony held at SGS’s Tirupur Laboratory on January 19, 2015.
Decathlon’s ‘Best Performer Award’ is presented to the best performing third party lab in the South Asia region, based on the following criteria:
- Positive feedback from all Decathlon India suppliers and quality production leaders.
- Highest number of activations for I-LIMS in a year (I-LIMS is the customized software used by DECATHLON for online test requests).
- Best performer in all laboratories working for Decathlon in India and Sri- Lanka.
In addition to the above criteria, Decathlon was impressed by Dinesh’s initiative to train and motivate vendors to send test requests online.
SGS Recognized for Excellence in Technical Support
Elsewhere in SGS India, Decathlon also recognized the efforts of Michael Francis, SGS’s technical support person. SGS India developed the most tests during the year. Furthermore, special appreciation was also shown to Jitender Malik and the Gurgaon Team for their excellent support and services in 2014.
The SGS India Laboratory also received recognition from Decathlon for meeting the company’s toxicology testing (http://www.sgs.com/en/Consumer-Goods-Retail/Softlines-and-Accessories/Textile-and-Clothing/Testing/Toxicological-Risk-Assessment-TRA.aspx) quality standards and turnaround time (TAT) expectations throughout the year. Decathlon’s toxiocology manager in France reviews all laboratories to verify the proportion of reports meeting both quality and TAT requirements.
