DataVard Showcases End-to-End Solutions to Prepare Customers for SAP HANA® at SAP® TechEd® in Barcelona

Heidelberg, Germany, November 3, 2015 -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- SAP partner and data management specialist DataVard today announced that it will be showcasing its end-to-end solutions for customers considering or planning to move to the SAP HANA® platform at the SAP® TechEd® conference being held Nov. 10-12 in Barcelona. DataVard specialists Veronika Blaskova and Frank Gundlich are conducting networking sessions on "Maximize your ERP system efficiency" and "Customer journey to SAP BW on SAP HANA." At the accompanying exhibition in booth 7.22, DataVard will be presenting solutions for system analysis, test automation, nearline storage and automated housekeeping.

The SAP TechEd conference focuses on technology with an emphasis on collaboration and hands-on workshops, going beyond technical education.

DataVard will be presenting its Gartner-awarded analysis tool DataVard ERP Fitness Test™ that recently was extended with two new components: Readiness-Check and Security & Compliance for SAP HANA. The fixed-price solution quickly identifies strengths and weaknesses in systems running the SAP ERP application and recommends specific actions based on an automated in-depth analysis. Apart from a benchmark comparison with over 100 SAP systems, it also offers a compliance check as well as 360-degree feedback. SAP customers are provided a clear picture of the current system usage enabling them to optimize costs and system performance, as well as increase system stability and address risks rapidly. ERP Fitness Test™ supports companies in maximizing their ERP system efficiency as did Croatia Airlines. "I was most impressed by DataVard"s ERP Fitness Test," explained Danijela Kalmeta, IT-Project manager, Croatia Airlines. "The solution offers a detailed analysis of our system data, saves time and simplifies the preparation of archiving and data-cleansing processes. With the help of the ERP Fitness Test, we were able to reduce our data volume by up to 20%."

Another hot topic will be presented in the networking session "The Big Data Journey with SAP HANA and Hadoop." Participants will discover what one of SAP's largest chemical customers did to prepare for the migration of the SAP Business Warehouse (SAP BW) application to SAP HANA. By using DataVard"s housekeeping and archiving solutions, the company managed to reduce the size of its BW instances significantly. DataVard"s solutions leverage the standard SAP interface for nearline storage with various storage technologies, SAP IQ software, Hadoop and regular SAN and NAS file systems. The chemical customer thus gained a much smaller BW system, a cost-effective migration to SAP HANA and a lower overall TCO.
