Jose’ Marino Showcases His Brazilian Roots On “My Little Town”

Jose’ Marino’s long established career dates back to the early 1960s. He started his career playing with such artists as Johnny Alf and Lenny Andrade. As a highly accomplished bass player with a distinct flair for his native Brazilian jazz sound, José went on to record with such artists as Laurindo de Almeida, Astrud Gilberto, Herbie Hancock, Bucky Pizzarelli and Tony Orlando and Dawn, plus many more. José credits his unique sound as a distinct combination of both American and Latin jazz with influences of Flamenco and Latin music.

“My Little Town” is rich collection of original Jazz songs featuring a perfect balance of beautiful instrumentals and seductive vocals that can transport the listener into a completely Brazilian jazz state of mind. Jose Marino’s friends are a cornucopia of tremendously talented musicians and singers. “I have known Jose for many years and I have always been a big fan of his talent.
