Colombo, Sri Lanka, 2024-Nov-10 — /EPR Network/ — The Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF) returned to participate at Intex Sri Lanka 2024 for the first time since the pandemic. To maximize their visit, pre-exhibition meetings were organised by Worldex India with key industry stakeholders including the Joint Apparel Association Forum of Sri Lanka (JAAF), Sri Lanka Apparel Exporters’ Association (SLAEA) and Sri Lanka Apparel Sourcing Association (SLASA). Mike Wang, Market Development Department, Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF), Taiwan, stated, ‘The Taiwan Textile Federation is pleased to participate in Intex Sri Lanka. As a government sponsored organization dedicated to promoting innovative and sustainable Taiwanese textiles globally, we have brought five of our leading companies to Sri Lanka to explore collaborative opportunities with local garment factories. This is my first visit to Intex and the first visit to Sri Lanka for our mills as well. We believe there is significant potential for collaboration here, as there is a growing demand for Taiwanese fabrics in the Sri Lankan market. We are quite impressed by the vibrant atmosphere and positive energy at Intex. This show is an excellent platform as it has provided us with great exposure and has been instrumental in helping us establish valuable connections and lay the groundwork for future partnerships.’

Five premium Taiwanese textile companies that showcased their latest innovations at Intex Sri Lanka 2024 and connected with buyers from Sri Lanka, South Asia and other international markets that visited the show. Under TEPP booth, 15 other Taiwanese companies’ fabric swatches and samples were displayed and over a hundred enquiries were generated from the visitors that visited the booth during 3 days.

Participating companies from Taiwan were GAC (Grandtek Asia Corp.) which is bluesigncertified and specializes in creating innovative, high-performance knitted fabrics for sportswear & casual wear; Hwang Yih Textile Co., Ltd. supplies highly innovative stretch fabric (cooling, thermal, anti-odour), functional fabric (quick dry, x-static, cooling, Biodegradable, W/R C0), recycled Fabric (bottle, waste yarn), lining fabric (tricot mesh, air mesh), lamination Fabric (1, 2, 3 layer); Be Be Cotton Knitting Co., Ltd. renowned for its high-end cotton products as well as natural dyed fabrics; Premiere Fashion Corp. a professional and integrated converter of sustainable knitted, woven and spandex fabrics for sportswear and outdoor performance wear and King Textile Co., Ltd. that specialises in producing recycled MMF & synthetic as well as blended fabrics – both knit and woven showcased their collections at Intex Sri Lanka 2024.
