At the event, SGS will be represented by Tracy Lamb, Global RPAS Safety Manager, SGS Hart Aviation. Tracy will be presenting “A New Generation of Risk Management, For a New Generation of Aviation” on 27 January at 11.30am – 12.00pm.

The Civil Aviation Regulators in most countries around the world are now approaching a level of uniformity towards establishing regulations, standards and best practices for RPAS operations. However with the volume of new usurers entering into the market there does exist an element of chaos. This chaos is largely attributed to the lack of education about the legalities and safety concerns surrounding the use of RPAS, and users entering into the market with little or no aviation knowledge or training. The current perception of risk in this emerging industry is as subjective and varied among the academics as the policy makers and industry stakeholders alike. When considering using RPAS in the commercial environment, consequential risks must be calculated as part of the total risk value within the risk management framework. The consequential risks and indirect costs are by far the most concerning. We need a new generation of risk management, for a new generation of aviation.

Look for the SGS banner at the event. Our representatives will be there at Stand 56 to answer your questions and discuss RPAS safety concerns for your business. For further information, please contact:
