Recording Artist Joseph Velvet Releases His Latest Single “Evermore”!

Norristown, Pennsylvania, January 26, 2016 — /EPR NETWORK/ — Joseph Jordan Jones, AKA Joseph Velvet was born in Kingston Jamaica and migrated to the United States in 1984. Since then he has created music deeply reminiscent of the reggae roots of his home country that also incorporates popular American genres including R&B and rock. In 1987, he released his first single titled “Wild Flour”, which offered him the opportunity to perform with legendary reggae artists such as Dennis Brown, Freddy McGregor, Beres Hammond, Gregory Isaacs, and Shaggy.

In 2003, Velvet released two singles, “Arms Around Me” and “Love Face” before being involved in a automobile accident that left him with severe spinal injuries. After years of rehabilitation and emotional turmoil and with the help of his son Joseph Jr., Velvet re-emerged on the music scene in 2008 with energetic performances that led to a digital distribution deal with Star Tune Records of Nashville, Tennessee. This signing made “Arms Around Me”, “Love Face”, and a new track titled “Captive Prayer” available on outlets such as iTunes and Amazon, taking his career to the next level.

Returning to the BMF Recording Studio in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and teaming up with producer Boris France, Velvet released “Fun Night”, which depicted the thin line between love and insanity. His biggest hit to date, “Fun Night” was the spark that drove Velvet to release his latest track “Evermore”, a song that he believes competes on the same level of lyrical complexity as any of today’s music. He also believes that it calls back to a time when music was created with a higher level of intimacy. Appealing to a wide variety of listeners, “Evermore” is the ideal “mood song”, featuring soft, melodic instrumentals and soothing baritone vocals.

Believing that “Evermore”, which will appear on an upcoming EP, will help propel his music career into the mainstream, Velvet plans on touring the East Coast in the months following its release. Available on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, and other online media outlets, “Evermore” is the ideal song for listeners in need of branching out to other genres, as well as strong fans of reggae, R&B, and rock.
