Kate Soul releases debut EP album ‘Dark ‘n’ Bright’

UKRAINE, UK, 2019-Oct-12 — /EPR Network/ — The songwriter and producer of pop music known as Kate Soul has released her debut EP album, “Dark ‘n’ Bright.” The EP contains five original Kate Soul tracks and an intro for an approximate total listening time of 20 minutes. Ukraine’s Kate Soul cites as main artistic influences Meg Myers, Regina Spektor, Elsiane, Deftones, The XX, and Jeff Buckley. Her own sound takes elements from each of these and adds something fresh and unique for a result which lies somewhere between the spaciness of Bjork, the classiness of Tori Amos, and the creativity of Regina Spektor. With an emphasis on intuitive, meaningful songwriting and genuine, heartfelt performances, “Dark ‘n’ Bright” by Kate Soul has a little something for every fan of great music.

Asked to describe the overall meaning of “Dark ‘n’ Bright,” Kate Soul writes: “It reveals the feeling of revaluation, the feeling of being in a wrong place, comprehension of self-consciousness and just being attentive to your self. It also touches the love subject, being able actually to feel the love, give it, not only to accept. ‘Dark ‘n’ Bright’ is a man’s condition which is constantly changing but still brings us tons of colours.”

Other themes on her debut record include various philosophical thoughts, living with mixed-up value systems, feelings of isolation and emptiness, and more.

An autodidactic musician, Kate Soul has written and performed music in the experimental pop, downtempo, indie-pop, psychedelic, alternative rock, trip-hop, and soul categories. Having begun singing in earnest in 2010, she first played in the One Bad Planet band prior to this current solo career which takes wing with “Dark ‘n’ Bright.”
